I have a cell phone (I am no expert, I just know how to get to my messages) but Google won't let me of late. My carrier is Bell Mobility. Recently Google is asking me to access an account which has appeared in messages a couple of times. I don't know who it is or where it came from. Is it a hack and why is Google always butting into my life.

Facebook is a default app on my tablet. Can't get rid of it but never use it. I asked the relative and she tells me it's not her. I just delete the notifications every day. Google isn't safe. Get a hold of Bell Mobility.

Google is very intrusive, I use duckduckgo.com
It sounds as if you've been hacked. Do you use Facebook? If so, change your password and try clearing all the cache, cookies etc.

I don't use any social sites. I do have a google account because I have a Nest which I use for listening to music when I am working in the upstairs.
I have received three messages on my mobile starting about a month ago. The latest was last week. I haven't opened any of them, I delete any message not on my contact. I have about 6 contacts (family). My subscription is for emergency use only.
The first message said only "Hi" in the subject line. I have deleted subsequent messages on sight from the person. Now Google wants access to the account by that person. It now wants to log my calls and won't let me read messages. Every time I turn on my mobile the google message is there, I cannot get past it. I don't want to log calls or allow Google access to my phone.
I have thought of getting a new SIN card and wonder if that would help. I could take it to the Bell outlet in the Mall but I am not impressed with past Service.

Let us know if or how you resolve the problem. How about just setting up another Google account?

Are you sure it's Google's fault, isn't it just spam messages? I get them on my mobile too but don't open, just delete and block. It happens, it's part of what we have to put up with these days.
