I spent over an hour trying to book a booster shot online with Shoppers Drug Mart.
It takes you everywhere except where you want to get the booster shot.
The reason I want to book online and at Shoppers is that they are within walking distance, and I'm hard of hearing.
They take walkins as well, however there is always a huge line up there.
I wonder if people who design software ever try it out themselves?
Thanks for listening. I had to get it off my chest.
When you phone they tell you its:Shoppersdrugmart.ca/Covid19

There's lots of software and apps that have issues. They roll it out quickly without being fully tested and hope for the best or feedback on what's wrong and then fix the problems. In Alberta, we had the Alberta health site, sometimes it works as stated, others not so much, hit and miss and try again later. I think the biggest issue is the managers and designers, all of whom are young go-getters who get some of the basics OK, but have no customer intel / focus. They want to do it the fastest and make their money before their software gets pirated and manipulated by others.

I found that by going to the Ontario booking site they take you to pharmacy booking and then it's simple. My son writes software for banks.

Our GP doesn't do that either, they do flu shots not covid.
We did book on line right away and got our booster about 3 weeks ago. The kids in Toronto however can't get an appt. until mid February.
