They are certainly nicely done living spaces and inventive with storage. I wouldn't live in one either.

Claustrophobia at best... might not be too bad if you have some wide open spaces around with good weather so you can get out a lot.

In my early life, I spent a couple years living in rooming houses in Toronto, around the Yorkville area. Most rooms were less than 100 sf and if you found one larger, you thought you were living the high life. IMO, if you're single and just wanted a place to call your own, a 400sf condo would be OK . I can only use 1 toilet at a time, and only sleep in one bed, these days you don't need a stereo, and TVs are flat or shows can be steamed on a tablet or laptop. In my present situation, I wouldn't buy one, but I wouldn't live in Toronto either.
