and it all adds up to the taxpayers burden. One of the major deficiencies in government is the lack of control on benefit programs.
Cheats are always taking advantage to scam the any system that has little controls on eliminating fraudulent claims. The Feds have implemented benefit policies without ANY real controls. Whether it's Workers' Comp, or any other open $$$$ program it WILL be abused by some. Even some professionals of our community, doctors, police and politicians have been caught with their fingers in the cookie jar.

Governments seem to simply expect honesty to control their benefits. How stupid is THAT!
How far can 'our' lefties go without breaking the tax payers back?
$10.00 child care will help some no doubt about it, but let's understand any benefit has a cost. So Trudeau can promise and give till he breaks the country then claim the pinky accolades for taking our money and taking the credit for giving...our money.
More on the government payroll to administer any program, more taxes, more bureaucracy, more votes bought.
Wife and I worked. Paid a baby sitter, saved and scrimped now seeing our country paying to not work. Jobs are going wanting but workers in no hurry to return to work.
OK, so support child care costs but don't take the kudos, you aren't paying, WE are.
"the Government of Canada wants to ensure that quality and affordable regulated child care spaces are available to all families who need it."
The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today highlighted that Budget 2021 sets a goal of on average $10 a day child care within the next five years. By building an early learning and child care system, we will make life more affordable for Canadian families, create new jobs, grow the middle class, increase women’s participation in the work force, and drive strong economic growth across the country.
The federal government will work with provincial, territorial, and Indigenous partners to build this Canada-wide, community-based early learning and child care system. The government will invest $30 billion over the next five years, with a minimum of $9.2 billion per year ongoing. By the end of 2022, this new system would reduce fees for parents with children in regulated child care by 50 per cent on average____"
