This is a very unusual sighting. While hubby was out in the fields a couple of days ago he took a picture of this deer. It is a fallow deer, first time seen on our farm or by us for that matter.

The corn crop has been harvested and there are lots of birds in the fields getting a free meal. One notable is an eagle. He doesn't come close enough for a picture but his head is white and some white at the tail end of the body. Not sure if that is known as a bald eagle. I used a binocular to spy on him.

Nice to see that in your yard. Did you harvest sweet corn?

We did get sweet corn from the garden but some of the corn for feeding cattle was also harvested.

Will these go the way of the honey bees?

A flock of approximately 100 wild turkeys , from left of the evergreen shrubs to behind the taller evergreens, headed to the feed lot. A daily ritual. This was around 7:30 am. They head back to the roost around 3:00 - 3:30 pm.

Don't like. A couple of years ago my husband's nephew gave us one. It was dark meat and it was tough. I prefer the domesticate kind.
