Let me show you some of my art work. I was impressed with a style of painting called acrylic pours. I think I was getting tired of the paint mess of pouring all that paint on a canvas and sometimes just scrapping it cause I didn't like how it poured, then wasting all that paint and another canvas. Rather costly. I kind of graduated into a more controlled acrylic pour and now I'm into landscapes the whimsical things. Not sure how many I'll be able to post in one thread so here goes: These are a couple of my first paint pours. Paint pours are abstract art.

Once I was done playing in so much paint and making a mess everywhere I tried a few controlled pours and some into sort of multimedia art. The dragons my sons love. The second one I sold, I call it Fohen Winds. Last one was a failed pour, I added the mother dragon and her nest. .

Wow, I love it Jezz, is that all done by pouring. Not all of it is acrylic pouring. The fist set of the flowers and feather are pours. The dragon with the baby is a pour with an added dragon. Then I used a controlled pour for some. Some are pour swipe background with an image painted in after, or a controlled pour. then the last are just painted. Here's a couple examples of acrylic pouring. I like the pour swipes with is which I used for many of these.

Wow, I tried pouring, unsuccessfully with watercolour, I love your work. Have you sold any? I did sell two of them. The Silhouette Trees. Seems to most popular. I have my originals still though. I did others for a couple friends. Not posted here. Traditional pours. Mostly I supple my two boys with things they like, dragons, fish, and skulls(not posted here). Pouring is fun but I don't have the space to deal with all that paint flying around. It's so messy and to me very wasteful. Abstract art really isn't my style as in those posted videos. I love the colors though and the way the paint flows. So this is why I've adapted my style to suit me. Glad you like my work. It's been fun and keeps me busy. One day I will have to try and sell some of my work. I haven't got to that point yet.

Have you tried joining an art club? I belong to two but we have been inactive since covid and I've lost my motivation. One club is a larger one which had an annual art show to which I contributed and did sell a couple of paintings. That was 4 or 5 years ago and nothing worth while since.

Haven't really checked out any art clubs. Don't even know if there are any here. I'll have to check that out. I thought about doing crafts shows, but then that's a lot of work for me. I'm not able to be that active for that amount of time. I'd be in dire pain and grumpy by the end of the day. The lifting of tubs would do me in right off the bat. Yet, I must do something with all of these right? Here's another I'm still putzing with. It's from a sunset photo off my neighbors dock at camp.
