I haven't worked for twenty years. I'm a parasite on the system? Such nonsense. People pay into the unemployment insurance system. They are entitled to use it. To collect you have to be looking for a job.And the benefits run out. Are rich people who inherited money and don't work ashamed of themselves? Ridiculous. OH! Now you're switching to a UI stand. No one else seems to have missed the point of the initial post. Congratulations, singularly off topic.
Nothing in the initial post was directed at anything but Trudeau's wasteful, fraudulent, and and CERB fiaso.Only you ever jumped to that conclusion.
Here's the original post.
" Lay a bouts in Canada are funded by Trudeau to an extent that businesses can't get employees back to work. Why work when you can stay on the dole. Billions have been wildly thrown out here there and everywhere with little to no controls or regulation.
That has NO reference to retirees nor to U.I. or Pensions, Or You.
"The Trudeau government’s Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) is the most fraudulent program, and the government has neither the will nor the resources to stop it. According to media reports, the Canadian bureaucracy “red-flagged” two million applications out of a total of eight million CERB beneficiaries as suspicious, but the Trudeau government stopped them from taking action, instead immediately instructing that all applicants be sent $2,000. As of May 15, three rounds of $2,000 each have been made, and a fourth will begin in three weeks. The government is in no mood to make any changes to this flawed program. Instead, some ministers are telling the media that people sitting outside the country can also apply for this benefit. The truth is that thousands of people sitting outside the country are comfortably enjoying these benefits.
"Trudeau’s financial packages are being misused, and it’s increasing the Canadian budget deficit. The financial packages announced have added another $10,000 to the debt of every Canadian. Earlier, Canada had a deficit of about $700 billion, in those four years, the Trudeau government had added another $100 billion to the country’s debt. "

CERB . uncontrolled hand outs with billions wasted are diminishing the work force by many lazy SOB's who were NOT directly affected by COVID-19 according to studies. There are those who won't return to available work.
Surely we should expect some controls and vetting when billions are handed out willy-Nilly!
Along with a gift of $500 to undeserving seniors it might well appear to be unconscionable! (Beyond prudence or reason; excessive. Not conscionable; exceeding the limits of any reasonable claim or expectation; not conforming to reason; unreasonable; inordinate; extravagant)
Such hap hazard misuse of tax dollars seems to be a continuing behaviour of incompetence and lack of common sense.
Some might even be looking up malfeasance? Or misfeasance? Or both ?
Many with moral, ethical, charitable conscience willing work for nothing NOTHING! in hospitals, food kitchens and as volunteers in our society. The least anyone taking hands out for not taking an available job should be doing is acting in a charitable manner by volunteering in some good works.
The Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) provided financial support to employed and self-employed Canadians who were directly affected by COVID-19. Applicants received $2,000 for a 4-week period (the same as $500 a week), between March 15 and September 26, 2020.

I'm willing to bet that there were plenty of seniors who got the $500 that put it right back into the economy and it's taxable because they could use it. And I'm willing to bet that those who didn't need it didn't send it back and didn't put it right back into the economy. It's nice to think that someone at least is trying to help seniors in need. I'm looking forward to a raise in the old age pension. It will cover my rent increase so I can continue living on my own. I dread having to go into an assisted living home. I think some people don't understand that it's a good thing.

"I think some people don't understand that it's a good thing".
I think, some think, some simply don't think, they avoid thinking about the facts preferring to deal with abstract theory and imagined concept.

Quit complaining. You only have 4 more years to be able to vote with your feet except if the Conservatives can get together with the other parties for a non confidence vote. In the meantime I'm going to follow my friends advice. "Don't knock it. Get a piece of it"

In the meantime I'm going to follow my friends advice. "Don't knock it. Get a piece of it" Just why would I ever stop complaining? Only sheep simply baa and bleat and get willing lead by a Judas. If government benefits the lazy and some are apparently satisfactorily ignorant of the costs, I consider them pinko socialists. If there is wasreful behaviour that is accepted then we get the government we deserve.
You may and apparently do accept the status quo and find discontents with a financial disaster acceptable and even take whatever offered to be bought. As for me, I'll complain about incompetence and fiscal ruinous policies as and when warranted.
Your lack in addressing the issues with any rational argument has become rather boring.

You are under no obligation to read or respond.
Your constant complaining is boring.
I'm too old to worry about trying to reform Canada.
I accept her warts and all.

So I ask. Should the Liberals continue giving hand outs for those not working in the CERB program? There are thousands of jobs available.
This hand out should continue forever-indefinitely? Answer that ? instead of using your usual means of avoiding the post subject. Reply to the following statement after reading thoroughly the quoted BLUE statement.
"The Canadian bureaucracy “red-flagged” two million applications out of a total of eight million CERB beneficiaries as suspicious, but the Trudeau government stopped them from taking action, instead immediately instructing that all applicants be sent $2,000. Should the Liberals continue giving hand outs for those not working in the CERB program?
If you ignore the question, the subject, and simply continue with obfuscated references to UI, and pensions, then it's obvious that you are simply acting as a troll.

Don't you understand? I really don't think Canada is about to Declare bankruptcy and your party isn't going to do anything except promise.
Don't tell me how to post.
Use the ignore feature if you're not happy. No one else is bothering with your posts.
